Poison ivy and oak are often unavoidable in the summer. The best treatment is early treatment. We use the jewelweed plant, known for its anti-itch properties, which often grows near poison ivy. It is picked near the spring on our farm, dried and infused in almond oil, then made into a soap that can be used to get rid of the oils which cause the irritation and rash of poison ivy.
Directions: Wash thoroughly with this soap after contact with poison ivy or oak. Avoid eye contact.
Follow up with jewelweed salve on any areas that have broken out. We cannot make medical claims on this product. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
